Books I Should Have Read Already

We all have that list. The “I really need to read these” list. I thought today I would share mine with you. I haven’t had much time to read because of school, so my list keeps growing longer and longer.

*Note: These are in no particular order.

THE HOST by STEPHENIE MEYER

I’ve been wanting to read The Host since the Twilight movies ended. I received a copy from a friend and then just never got around to picking it up. I’ve heard amazing things about it, but with being so busy leading up to moving away to and starting college, it just didn’t happen. The Host isn’t a small book, and I want to commit to it when I know I’ll have the time to read it in a reasonable amount of time so I can thoroughly enjoy it.

THE KISS OF DECEPTION by MARY E. PEARSON

This one has been on my radar for a while. I didn’t own it until recently (October), and I very much look forward to reading it – hopefully while I’m off school for a bit in February!

THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER by STEPHEN CHBOSKY

I absolutely hate that I haven’t read Perks yet. The movie is amazing, and I know the book is just as perfect, if not more so. I brought this to school with me, and it’s not super big, so I might sneak a read in between studying.

IT’S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY by NED VIZZINI

Similar to Perks, I loved the movie and I know the book has the potential to be freaking amazing. It comes highly recommended by many reader friends, and I do look forward to reading it.

THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER by MICHELLE HODKIN

I’m not sure totally what this one is about, but I know based on the large bookish community’s opinion that I need to read this one. Something about a Noah Shaw?…

HALF BLOOD by JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

Jen Armentrout is hands down my fave author of all time, so it sucks that it isn’t super easy (or affordable) to get all of her books in Canada. However, I still plan to accumulate all of them someday!

DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE by LAINI TAYLOR

So many readers and bloggers love this series, and based off of the synopsis I read, I think I would love it, too! I just need to get my hands on it!

THE EDGE OF NEVER by J.A. REDMERSKI

I just purchased this one through Book Outlet, so hopefully I’ll get to read it soon!

THE WRATH AND THE DAWN by RENEE AHDIEH

I’ve heard so many amazing things about this book. So much so, I gifted it to my sister for her birthday, and I’m hoping to borrow it once she’s had a chance to read it!

YOU by CAROLINE KEPNES

Apparently this isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s rather disturbing… I WANT IT.

BAD ROMEO by LEISA RAYVEN

Who doesn’t love a good bad boy, am I right? (I’m right). Bad Romeo has been on my TBR for ages now, but every time I see it in the bookstore I already have so many books to buy and never a deep enough pocket. ONE DAY.

RED QUEEN by VICTORIA AVEYARD

I FINALLY HAVE THIS IN MY POSSESSION. HAPPENING SOON.

FINDING AUDREY by SOPHIE KINSELLA

I’ve heard plenty of amazing things about the story and writing in this book, and I think I would really connect with the main character. Definitely on my TBR.

CARRY ON by RAINBOW ROWELL

I’m working on this one. I’m about 30 pages in, where I was basically when I started reading it a few months back before school took up my entire life and soul.

There are SO MANY BOOKS I want to read and basically no time to read them. It sucks, and I can’t wait to retire and read all day.

What books do you think you should have read already?
