In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…
Some things you just believe in, even if you’ve never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It’s out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she’s got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph’s eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.
Nick’s self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he’s knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she’s building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can’t walk away. Not when she’s the only one who’s ever made him wish for forever . . .
Forever With You was a story of friendship, love, tragedy, and healing. Jen always writes amazing contemporary that isn’t too perfect as to make it seem like the situations in her books could never happen in real life.
This was Nick’s book, something I was thrilled about after reading about him in Calla’s book (Stay With Me). More than that, we really got to know Steph, who we met awhile back through Cam and Jase. Regardless of the bad reputation she had at the beginning of the series, I really liked her.
I decided the moment Nick and Steph met in the very first chapter that I loved the two of them together. Their light and witty banter back and forth was utterly adorable and entertaining to read. Throw in some hot, no strings attached fun, and I was sold.
Against the rules they both had when it came to hookups, they became friends, and their friendship was pretty damn awesome.
When a major surprise brought the two of them together (which I saw coming), it made me a bit unsure about their friendship/relationship thing. As it developed I came to regain the love I had for them, just in time for shit to hit the fan (I also saw this coming).
I cried. I saw it coming and I still cried. A lot.
Nick and Steph’s story was one that I genuinely felt connected to. They made me laugh, cry, and get pissed off at both of them at different points along the way.
The last chapter was so perfect I don’t think I can even put into words how amazing it was. I was grinning so wide the entire time I was reading it, as I was trying to blink away the tears so I could actually read it.
I always have a difficult time deciding which of Jen’s books I like the most (I LOVE THEM ALL), but Forever With You ranks pretty high.
